The Bible Together
As part of Year of the Word, Watermark is partnering with Seed Company to translate God's Word into the heart language of several unreached people groups.
More than a billion people don’t have access to the Bible in their language.
In partnership with Seed Company, we're asking God to use the generosity of Watermark members to support as many Bible translation projects as possible during a focused season of prayer, giving, and dependence. Each project is geared toward an unreached people group, those with little to no access to Scripture and virtually no Christ-followers in their communities.
These projects will progressively expand our collective impact by unlocking new milestones in the translation process for unreached people groups. Milestones include First Scripture engagements-which are projects that provide the first verse or Scripture passage in the language of an unreached people group-completed New Testaments, completed full Bibles, and engagements toward completing full sign language Bibles.
As Watermark walks through Year of the Word together, this is our chance to respond-to pray, seek the Lord, and give as he leads.

Connect 332,200 people across four language groups to the power of God’s Word in their language, with one group receiving it for the first time. This opportunity accomplishes these milestones:
- One first Scripture engagement
- One New Testament
- One full Bible
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
This opportunity now reaches 1,134,500 people across a total of nine language groups with the hope of heart-language Scripture and will achieve Bible translation milestones:
- Two first Scripture engagements
- Three New Testaments
- One full Bible
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
Engage 2,435,000 people across 19 language groups, many in regions hostile to the gospel. Your partnership will unlock these translation milestones:
- Three first Scripture engagements
- Five New Testaments
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
- Two full Bibles
Reach six additional language groups—each with small populations—for a cumulative total of 2,493,158 people. Now, across a total of 25 communities, we will accomplish these translation milestones:
- Four first Scripture engagements
- Eight New Testaments
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
- Two full Bibles
A total of 3,691,458 people in some of the most remote regions in the world will now have Scripture in their heart language. Across 30 language groups, communities will reach these translation milestones:
- Five first Scripture engagements
- Nine New Testaments
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
- Two full Bibles
Equip 43 language groups—a total of 7,043,858 people—with access to God’s Word, reaching these milestones in their translations:
- Six first Scripture engagements
- Nine New Testaments
- One engagement toward completing the full Bible in a sign language
- Two full Bibles
This opportunity now reaches 51 people groups, illuminating God’s Word for a total of 12,471,597 people. Your support helps accomplish these translation milestones:
